This is a finely textured 25mm x 50mm - 4.8m hardwood from Red Grandis. The lightweight wood offers good strength properties and a consistent, straight grain pattern. Perfect for joinery manufacturing due to its machining properties, it comes from a plantation for quality control and has structural performance grading availability. As per the machining process, final dimensions may vary slightly.

Product Description

This 25mm x 50mm - 4.8m hardwood product is finely-textured, derived from Red Grandis, a variety of pink hardwood known for its good strength properties and light weight. Offering a consistent and straight grain pattern, it is specifically recommended for joinery manufacturing because of its good machining properties. This hardwood is plantation grown ensuring controlled tree growth, leading to fewer defects. It can be strength graded for reassured structural performance (dependent on stock availability). An array of lengths are typically accessible, requiring customisation with our specialist cross-cutting service (dependent on stock availability). Please note, due to the machining process, the final dimensions of this product may be slightly smaller than the nominal sizes mentioned. Thickness may be about 5 to 6mm less, and width 5 to 8mm less, dependent on the originating section.
