Is my contract with you or the Merchant for the items I have ordered?

Your contract for the items, once an order is placed, is between you and the merchant directly. When you receive quotes from merchants, they will have any specific terms listed on the quote, which can be reviewed before you place the order.

How do I improve my rating as a buyer?

The best route is to verify yourself as a tradesperson if you are one, and placing more orders will increase your rating.
