A range of recycled low density polyethylene damp proof membranes, suitable for use above or below concrete floor slabs, or above precast concrete flooring systems, in accordance with clause 11 of CP 102:1973, where there may be capillary rise of moisture but not where it may be subject to hydrostatic pressure (below ground). The material is chemically inert and is not affected by acids and alkalis that may be present in the sub soils. For jointing adjacent sheets Jointing Tapes should be used. • Manufactured from 100% recycled polyethylene • Convenient multi-folded rolls • CE marked to EN 13967:2012 Note: Universal DPMs should not be used to provide protection from hazardous ground gases.

Product Description

Building regulations mandate the utilization of Damp Proof Membranes (DPMs) positioned either above or below solid concrete floor slabs in contact with the ground. This is essential to counteract the upward movement of water through capillary action, commonly known as rising damp. For suspended floors made of in-situ or precast concrete adjacent to the ground, like beam and block floors, the incorporation of a DPM is also necessary if the ground beneath the floor has been excavated below the lowest level of the surrounding ground. It is crucial that the DPM is continuous with the Damp Proof Course (DPC) in the walls. Additionally, building regulations emphasize the need to take proper precautions to prevent health hazards when constructing on contaminated land. Hazardous ground gas membranes provide a secure solution for safeguarding buildings against radon, carbon dioxide, and methane, forming a crucial part of a well-designed ground gas protection system. These membranes also serve the dual purpose of acting as DPMs in such scenarios.
