Product Description

Building regulations require the use of DPMs positioned either above or below solid concrete floor slabs in contact with the ground, to prevent the upward movement of water by capillary action (rising damp). Any suspended floor of in-situ or precast concrete next to the ground, such as beam and block floors, also requires the incorporation of a DPM if the ground below the floor has been excavated below the lowest level of the surrounding ground. In both instances, the DPM should be continuous with the DPC in the walls. Building regulations also require that the proper precautions be taken to prevent danger to health when building on contaminated land.
